Senior Software Engineer

Location: The Innovation Center, Catalyst, Queens Rd, Belfast BT3 9DT, United Kingdom

TeamFeePay (TFP) is a grassroots football club management platform that supports over 2,000 football clubs and 250,000+ coaches, players, parents and guardians. We are expanding across Europe and engineering is core to that growth.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of Pitchside Experience features end‑to‑end across our React Native app and web front end.
• Show strong design judgement on ambiguous problems and know when a simple solution beats a clever one.
• Mentor other engineers and raise the quality bar in reviews and design discussions.
• Work closely with product, design and other squads to turn vague problems into clear, sequenced plans.

Qualifications

• React or React Native frontend experience, or the desire to learn it.
• Strong experience in software development.
• Comfortable across the stack your squad owns, not just the frontend.
• Product mindset: comfortable critiquing designs and understanding user journeys to help land on the best solution for coaches, players and parents on matchday.
• Enjoys mentoring and levelling up the engineers around you.
• Back‑end experience in Node, Python, Java, PHP, Go is acceptable; support will be provided to pick up Rails.
