Junior Java Developer (Nottingham)

Salary: £25 000 – £35 000 per annum + benefits and bonus

Overview: The successful candidate will join a team of Java developers in Nottingham, working on Java software projects with the opportunity to work independently and pursue internal promotion.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java applications using Java SE, JDK 7, and J2EE.
• Use WildFly 8 application server for deployment.
• Implement RESTful services with JAX‑RS and CDI (Weld).
• Build and manage EJB 3 stateless session beans and JPA entities.
• Collaborate with teammates and maintain project documentation.
• Contribute to internal promotion and development opportunities.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Java SE, JDK 7, and J2EE.
• Proficiency with WildFly 8, JAX‑RS, CDI Weld, EJB 3, and JPA.
• Knowledge of XML, SOAP, and web services.
• Familiarity with Eclipse IDE, unit testing (JUnit), and issue tracking (Redmine).
• Desirable: Sun/Oracle Java certification.
• Junior level – recent graduate or early career professional.
