Internal vacancy for staff of the following organisations within the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care System:

- University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (inclusive of Black Country Procurement Group and North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service)
- Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board
This role is only open to internal employees of the above organisations.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and visitors to the Heart & Lung Department
- Ensuring all cardiac investigations are logged and booked in accordance with National Targets
- Logging and booking diagnostic tests
- Managing diagnostic waits in line with National Targets and the Patient Access Policy
- Handling reception duties: greeting, booking patients and managing phone calls
- Responding to enquiries, completing outcomes and managing telephone communications
- Multi‑tasking across ever‑changing priorities while maintaining a cheerful, flexible approach
- Working as part of an existing administrative and management team
Qualifications
- Good general education, including GCSE English and Maths
- Administrative or clerical background, preferably with receptionist experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure
- Competent computer skills and high level of computer literacy
- Confidentiality and sensitivity in handling situations
- Knowledge of patient administration systems and related processes
- Familiarity with hospital EPR systems (RTT & pathways) and inpatient/outpatient waiting lists
- Previous experience working in a health‑care environment
