Overview
We are looking for an ambitious and talented Geospatial & Data Manager to lead our geospatial capability and become the trusted expert behind the maps, data and spatial intelligence that helps shape the future of our Forest. The role combines GIS expertise, data stewardship, analysis and innovation to support the Charity’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop the Forest’s spatial datasets.
- Produce compelling maps and visualisations for woodland creation, habitat restoration, land management and long‑term environmental planning.
- Deliver insightful analysis for grant applications, funding bids, regulatory reporting and strategic planning.
- Ensure spatial information is accessible, reliable and impactful across teams.
- Shape the future of our geospatial systems, exploring emerging technologies and innovative approaches to field data collection, web mapping, dashboards, aerial imagery and remote sensing.
Qualifications
Experience in GIS, geospatial analysis or spatial data management, combined with strong communication and collaboration skills. Comfortable managing complex datasets, producing professional cartographic outputs and translating data into meaningful insights for technical and non‑technical audiences.
Preferred: Environmental, ecological, habitat or land‑use datasets experience; knowledge of land ownership and tenure data; and familiarity with QGIS.

Salary: £36,000‑£40,000
