Senior Lead Software Engineer – up to £125k
London offices + flexible hybrid working
A Senior Lead Software Engineer / Principal Engineer opportunity for an Engineering department with teams across Software, Infrastructure, and Robotics.
The company is building innovative products and requires a Senior Lead Engineer to oversee several teams, leading tech direction, architectural decisions, and improving engineering efficiency.
The Senior Lead Engineer will mentor experienced Lead Engineers, utilize modern technology to productise software used by a global customer base. The role will not have any dedicated direct reports but will act as the technical Scrum Master.
The business offers flexible hybrid working options with offices in London (3-4 days WFH per week).
Responsibilities include
- Influence technical direction and architecture decisions across a range of Software products.
- Play a key role in steering product delivery working with associated Software, Infrastructure and Robotics Engineers.
- Implement and improve software engineering practices and work on complex technical challenges.
- Write code as required in a .NetCore, Azure environment (DevOps).
Key experience
- A passion for using modern technology to create innovative software products.
- Previous experience in a similar role acting as a senior hands-on contributor, leading Agile teams or projects within a multi-team setting.
- Experienced in technical decision making and architecture direction.
- A background in software engineering and hands-on experience with C#, NoSQL, and Kafka.
- Well versed with modern cloud platforms with a preference for Azure.
