Software Development Manager – Customer API

As a Software Engineering Manager, you’ll guide a collaborative team building reliable, modern software solutions. You’ll help shape our technical direction, mentor engineers, and make thoughtful use of AI tools to improve how we work. Team & People Leadership

• Lead a collaborative, high‑performing engineering team.
• Support engineers in their growth with regular coaching, clear goals, and constructive feedback.
• Foster an inclusive environment where every voice is heard and valued.
• You will be hiring, onboarding, and building a diverse team.

Delivery & Technical Leadership

• Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of software built with Java, Spring Boot, Typescript, and related technologies.
• Work with Product and Architecture teams to design simple, scalable solutions.
• Promote modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, clean code, and cloud‑native patterns.
• Ensure systems are reliable, well‑tested, and easy to maintain.

AI‑Enabled Engineering

• Champion AI tools that boost productivity.
• Help the team learn how to use AI safely, responsibly, and confidently.
• Identify areas where automation or AI can reduce manual work or improve user experience.

Technical Skills

• Experience delivering Java 8+ or JVM‑based applications using Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, or Kotlin.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Knowledge of software design and architectural patterns.
• Comfortable with DevOps practices (CI/CD, configuration management, deployment patterns).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud‑native development.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum.
• Interest in using AI to improve engineering workflows and team efficiency.
