Senior Java Developer – Full Time

Department: Digital, Data and Cloud

Responsibilities

• Work in a Scrum Team of cross‑functional skills practicing Agile.
• Contribute to real decisions about technology to create maintainable solutions for our customers.
• Participate in a highly collaborative group of software engineering professionals.
• Develop software to meet our clients’ user needs using Java on the AWS Cloud platform.
• Follow best‑practice guidelines and help improve those guidelines.
• Contribute to other areas of development within the project using latest technologies.
• Create comprehensive documentation with client users in mind.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Java development experience.
• Experience with the Spring framework (Spring Boot 1 & 2) for new or existing micro‑services.
• Experience with SQL databases (Oracle or PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with all phases of software development: requirements gathering, design, build, deployment, and support.
• Strong experience in unit and regression testing.
• Orientation to develop with quality and best practices in code development.
• Ability to operate well under a variety of different situations and types of projects.
