An established, multidisciplinary construction consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join its London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, capable professional who can hit the ground running and become a key member of a growing team.The successful candidate will work across a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects, including residential, commercial, healthcare and infrastructure schemes throughout London, with values ranging from £500k to £500m+.Initially this is an office-based role to encourage collaboration with the architectural and design teams, moving to one day per week working from home.The Role* Deliver both Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor services.* Provide practical CDM and health & safety advice from project inception through to completion.* Collaborate closely with architects, design teams and clients to ensure effective design risk management.* Attend design team meetings and contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects.* Build strong client relationships while maintaining high technical standards and helping to secure new work.* Mentor and develop CDM professionals.Experience* Several years’ experience delivering the Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor services.* Previous construction or design background (e.g. Architect, Engineer or Construction Management- preferred)* Strong client-facing, communication and business development skills.* Excellent Knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015.Qualifications* A relevant degree is preferred.* Working towards or already holding CMaPS, CMIOSH, or an equivalent professional qualification.What’s on Offer* Salary of £60,000-£80,000, depending on experience.* Comprehensive benefits package.* Structured support towards CMaPS, CMIOSH or other relevant professional qualifications.* Clear progression to Director level within a successful consultancy with a flat management structure, supported by excellent training and professional development.* Exposure to landmark London projects across multiple sectors
