Overview
Electrical Engineer required for JLL Workplace Management at 20/22 Ropemaker Street, Moorgate. The role involves delivering contractual obligations and operational excellence for a high-rise building, with the opportunity to work on large, complex electrical systems. The position requires experience in electrical switching and critical infrastructure, with HV switching authorization or willingness to undertake HV training.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as per CAFM and management instructions, including electrical repairs, testing, inspection, installation, and supporting the wider team.
- Close or update completed PPM tasks on the site CAFM system (Concept MRI Pro).
- Maintain standards of workmanship to maximize operational effectiveness and reliability of electrical systems and associated infrastructure.
- Assist specialist subcontractors with PPM and reactive works related to electrical systems and HV infrastructure.
- Ensure QA and site procedures are adhered to; maintain accurate site records/documentation for all electrical works.
- Work within typical building environments, including working at heights and in critical infrastructure areas; use provided access equipment and PPE.
- Keep and maintain company-issued tools in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Contribute positively to the ongoing success of the contract and maintain health and safety standards in accordance with site plans.
- Complete any other tasks requested by management related to electrical operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in a similar maintenance role, with relevant qualifications (e.g., time-served apprenticeship, C&G or electrical equivalent).
- HV switching authorization, or willingness to undertake HV training.
- Extensive experience in electrical switching and maintaining critical infrastructure systems.
- Good health and safety awareness, including Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of work.
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling and working at heights.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable using computers.
