Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Ofsted)

Selly Oak, Birmingham. £60,000-£65,000 | Full-Time | Permanent

Local Care Limited is looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead the registration, launch and ongoing management of a brand-new 4-bed Ofsted-regulated children’s home supporting young people aged 8-17 with EBD.

This is a unique opportunity to build a service from the ground up, recruit your own team and drive the home towards an Outstanding Ofsted rating.

Responsibilities

• Register and open the home with Ofsted.
• Lead, motivate and develop the staff team.
• Ensure outstanding care and safeguarding for children.
• Maintain compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
• Build strong relationships with Local Authorities and external professionals.
• Manage budgets, occupancy and service performance.

Essential Requirements

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Experience within an Ofsted-regulated children’s home
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and children’s legislation
• Experience leading staff teams and preparing for Ofsted inspections
• Full UK Driving Licence
