An international bank with a strong presence in the European financial markets is seeking an Assistant Manager – Operations to support its Front Office and wider Operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing, verification, and settlement of a range of banking transactions while maintaining high standards of operational control and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Operations with the day-to-day management of banking operations.
- Process, verify and settle transactions across products including Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Markets, Corporate Loans, Securities and Derivatives.
- Prepare and reconcile trade confirmations, fixing notices and settlement instructions.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and documentation across core banking and settlement systems.
- Monitor securities settlements, corporate actions and inbound funds, following up on outstanding items with clients and counterparties.
- Liaise with Front Office teams, clients and settlement agents to resolve operational queries efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with FCA/PRA regulations, internal controls and operational procedures.
- Provide operational support and cover for colleagues where required.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in back‑office operations within a financial institution.
- Experience in trade processing, settlements and transaction lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of financial products including FX, Money Markets, Corporate Loans, Securities and/or Derivatives.
- Strong analytical, organisational and time‑management skills with excellent attention to detail.
