Overview
The Tax Apprenticeship offers the opportunity to work on a variety of high‑profile projects while building a career that can follow multiple pathways. As a member of a collaborative team, you will help clients navigate complex tax policy landscapes and stay compliant with regulation by ensuring the correct tax is paid at the right time. You will also tackle challenges at the heart of client organisations, developing a broad understanding of how businesses operate and gaining valuable technical skills and professional qualifications.
Program Details
Program Length: 5 years
Qualification Path: AAT Level 3 and 4, followed by Level 7 ACA (or CA equivalent in Scotland).
Responsibilities
- Assist clients in navigating complex tax policy landscapes and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Tackle challenges at the core of client organisations and broaden your understanding of business operations.
- Apply and develop technical tax knowledge through blended learning and workplace experience.
Entry Requirements
- 5 GCSEs* at A*–C or 4–9 grades (including English Language and Maths at Grade B or 5), or for Scotland 5 National 5 qualifications at Grades A–C (including English Language and Maths at Grade B or equivalent).
- 120 UCAS points from the top 3 grades (excludes General Studies under the 2017 tariff point system).
- Demonstrate strong academic and personal qualities through assessments and contextual recruitment data.
Training & Development
- Immersive induction experience and formal training courses.
- Leadership knowledge bites, learning journals, online courses and networking events.
- Dual delivery of AAT Level 3 and 4 in the first two years, followed by Level 7 ACA/CA training with a blend of online and in‑centre classroom courses.
Benefits
Annual salary: £24,000 – £26,250, depending on programme and location.
