Job Description Home‑to‑School Driver n Hendon Preparatory School n Pay: £15-£16 per hour Hours: 6:30-9:00am & 3:30-6:00pm, Monday-Friday Contract: Term Time Only Start Date: September 2026 n UK Based Applications Only n Hendon Preparatory School is seeking a reliable and professional Home‑to‑School Driver to support our daily pupil transport service. n The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting pupils to and from school during term time, ensuring a punctual, friendly, and high‑quality service while adhering to all legal, safety, and school requirements. n Key Responsibilities include: n n Driving school buses for home‑to‑school journeys n Ensuring pupil safety and wellbeing at all times n Completing daily vehicle checks, timesheets, and transport paperwork n Following agreed routes, schedules, and school policies n Reporting any vehicle defects, safety concerns, or incidents promptly n Acting as a positive and courteous ambassador for the school n n The Successful Candidate Will: n n Be aged 21 or over with a full UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years) n Hold a valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card n Be reliable, punctual, and professional n Communicate well with pupils, parents, and staff n Be flexible and able to work split shifts n n Experience transporting children or driving passenger‑carrying vehicles is desirable but not essential. n How to Apply n Complete an application before the closing date. n Hendon Preparatory School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
