£26,908 to £28,890 per annum pro‑rata depending on skills and experience.

About The Role

The Climbing Wall Assistant supports and delivers a wide range of climbing activities for students, staff and the public. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising children, young people and adults during climbing wall sessions.
  • Leading sessions as part of the NICAS Academy programme.
  • Supporting the day‑to‑day operation of the climbing wall as required.
  • Promoting a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Delivering excellent customer service to students, staff, alumni and public members.

About You

Applicants should hold the Climbing Instructor (Mountain Training, OR Similar) qualification or be working towards assessment within the scheme. Previous experience supporting or delivering sessions within the NICAS Scheme is essential.

Available Positions

  • Post 1: Permanent – 7.25 hours per week – Saturday, 07:30–15:45.
  • Post 2: Permanent – 7.25 hours per week – Sunday, 07:30–15:45.
