The Driver’s Mate role in Gloucester involves assisting a Class 2 driver with deliveries and collections across the Brockworth area.

What’s On Offer

• £14.53 per hour
• Temp‑to‑Perm opportunity
• Class 2 Driver training provided
• 5‑day driver training course included
• Monday to Friday working week
• 45 hours per week
• Start time: 04:00AM
• Finish time: dependent on daily workload

The Role

• Assist drivers with deliveries and collections
• Load and unload goods
• Perform heavy manual handling
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery points
• Support the driver to ensure efficient route completion

Requirements

• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Drug and alcohol testing from Day 1
• Driving licence essential

Career Progression

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to complete a 5‑day Class 2 driver training course, opening the door to a long‑term career as a professional HGV driver.
