We are looking for an enthusiastic full‑time Maintenance Team Member to join our team at Novotel & ibis London Blackfriars hotels. This is a combo position across two hotels.

Shift Details

  • Shifts typically run between the hours of 8am – 8.30pm – days and times may vary depending on the business needs
  • Weekend availability is essential and full flexibility across the week is required
  • This is a full‑time position

Responsibilities

  • Are responsible for preventative maintenance work and carry out regular safety and maintenance inspections across the hotel to create a pleasant and safe environment for all colleagues, guests and visitors
  • Undertake and manage various general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electricity, telecommunications, heat, carpentry and decorating
  • Conduct routine inspection of premises and equipment and handle basic repairs and maintenance requirements
  • Install, inspect and troubleshoot equipment, appliances and systems
  • Apply the Hotel’s security regulations (in case of fire etc)
  • Actively seek to contribute to the comfort of guests and visitors
  • Take responsibility for identifying areas of improvement within range of operation, including risk awareness

Qualifications

If you have previous experience within a hotel environment, that’s great however we will consider applications with experience within construction and maintenance jobs. Ask us about apprenticeships! We will ensure your success in the role by providing the required training for you to do a great job.
