Overview
Electrical bias maintenance technician responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment as part of the MEI teams. Work can be performed individually or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Fault-find and rectify problems with electrical and mechanical systems and ancillary equipment.
- Install, maintain and repair electrical systems to ensure performance of assets.
- Read, understand and work from electrical drawings.
- Maintain general knowledge and participate in training on the wastewater treatment process.
- Participate in risk assessment, COSHH assessment, and related health and safety issues.
- Identify problematic plant, diagnose faults, and contribute to efficient solutions to return equipment to working order.
- Identify spare parts and material requirements using preferred suppliers.
- Complete job cards and timesheets to monitor workload and performance.
- Provide knowledge and onsite support for DCWW capital teams, operational teams, and the team.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified electrician.
- Compliance with 17th Edition IEE regulations.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong understanding of planning and scheduling of work processes.
- Ability to develop positive working relationships and be a credible representative of the team.
- Ability to take responsibility, make decisions, and use initiative; proactive and solution-focused.
- Critical thinking to analyse information and provide effective solutions.
- Experience working as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to influence others.
