This Operations Manager role offers genuine senior-level influence, supporting the Managing Director in driving operational performance across complex infrastructure projects throughout the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe. The Role

  • Take responsibility for operational delivery across live projects
  • Lead and develop Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers and site teams
  • Ensure projects are properly planned from pre-start through to completion
  • Oversee programme certainty, sequencing, logistics and resource planning
  • Identify operational risks early and implement practical solutions
  • Drive high standards across safety, quality, productivity and site presentation
  • Work closely with Commercial and Finance teams to ensure aligned project delivery
  • Act as a senior escalation point for operational challenges
  • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and principal contractors
  • Recruit, mentor and develop future leaders within the business

The Person

  • Senior operational or project leadership experience within civil engineering or groundworks
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, logistics and programme control
  • Structured, confident leadership style with strong communication skills
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent HSEQ awareness
