The Role
- Take responsibility for operational delivery across live projects
- Lead and develop Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers and site teams
- Ensure projects are properly planned from pre-start through to completion
- Oversee programme certainty, sequencing, logistics and resource planning
- Identify operational risks early and implement practical solutions
- Drive high standards across safety, quality, productivity and site presentation
- Work closely with Commercial and Finance teams to ensure aligned project delivery
- Act as a senior escalation point for operational challenges
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and principal contractors
- Recruit, mentor and develop future leaders within the business
The Person
- Senior operational or project leadership experience within civil engineering or groundworks
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, logistics and programme control
- Structured, confident leadership style with strong communication skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail with excellent HSEQ awareness
