Our Tax practice collaborates with organisations of all sizes, across a wide range of specialisms. We advise on all aspects of employee reward and support high‑net‑worth individuals and entrepreneurial families. You will enter a fast‑moving, challenging, and exciting environment.

Life as a Tax Apprentice

You will work on a variety of high‑profile projects within a collaborative team. You will help clients navigate complex tax policy landscapes and stay compliant with regulation, ensuring the right tax is paid at the right time. You will tackle challenges at the heart of client organisations, develop a broad understanding of business operations, and acquire valuable technical skills and professional qualifications.

Your Future

During the programme you will study for an AAT Level 3 initially, then progress to the ACA (or CA equivalent in Scotland). Learning is delivered online and in person, supported by resources and a supportive community designed to help you thrive, develop technical skills, and reach your full potential.

Capability, Programme Length and Qualifications

  • Programme Length: 5 years
  • Qualifications: AAT Level 3/4 plus the ACA qualification or CA equivalent (Scotland)
  • Entry Requirements: 5 GCSEs at A*–C (or 5 National 5s in Scotland) including English Language and Maths, and 120 UCAS points from top three A‑Levels (or equivalent).

Training and Development

All apprentices receive a rich curriculum: immersive induction, formal training courses, leadership knowledge bites, learning journals, online courses and networking events. The AAT Level 3 and 4 phases are spread over two years, followed by Level 7 ACA/CA qualification, delivered through a blend of online classroom live and recorded courses plus in‑centre classroom courses.

Additional Information

Annual salary £24,000 – £26,250, dependent on programme and location.

Life as an Audit Apprentice

You’ll work on complex engagements with some of the world’s biggest companies, support continuous improvement and audit quality, and use new technologies such as AI to analyse data. Travel is likely, and work is seasonal.
