Main duties of the job
- Prepare, process, and manage all patient referrals through the NHS e-Referrals Service (e-RS) and other pathways.
- Provide accurate secretarial and administrative support to GPs and clinicians.
- Liaise with hospitals, consultants, and external healthcare providers to ensure timely and effective communication.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with NHS standards and data protection.
- Add invoices and receipts to a Monday.com platform.
- Prepare clinical reports.
- Prepare SARs and insurance reports.
Experience and Skills
- S1 Experience.
- Previous experience as a Medical Secretary, including knowledge of choose and book, routine and urgent referrals, and medical notes.
- High attention to detail.
- Flexible and able to manage a heavy workload.
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills, able to work under pressure both independently and as part of a team.
- Computer skills are essential.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Good knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.
- Use own initiative.
