Retail Assistant – Part Time
We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Boundary Road, St Helens. This is a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 20 hours worked over 4 days each week, including weekends.
Pay & Benefits
Pay depends on age:
- Ages 16-20: £10.95 per hour
- Ages 21+: £12.81 per hour

Responsibilities
- Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
- Help customers find the items they are looking for.
- Give a fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
- Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy.
- Work with the rest of your team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep our shops safe, clean and tidy.
Requirements
- A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
- Enjoy being busy – jump from deliveries to till, shop floor, cleaning, stock rotation and more.
- Be reliable as you will be an important part of a small team.
- Have a bit of flexibility for shifts; rota are planned three weeks in advance and outside commitments are considered.
