The Best Connection is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Goods In / Goods Out Operative to join a fast-paced logistics operation in Barnsley.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading a variety of palletised goods using a Gas Counterbalance FLT
• Loading multi-shaped pallets onto different vehicle types
• Using handheld scanners to accurately process stock movements
• Managing the movement and control of finished goods within the warehouse
• Booking and coordinating courier collections
• Completing warehouse administration using Microsoft Excel and Word
• Working closely with the logistics team to ensure efficient operations

Qualifications

• Valid Gas Counterbalance FLT licence and experience
• Experience loading a variety of pallet types across different vehicles
• Competent using handheld scanners
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience using courier booking systems
• Previous experience within a fast-paced logistics environment
• Someone looking for a long‑term opportunity with the potential to become permanent
