About the Role

As a Care Assistant – Bank at Albion Court Care Home in Birmingham, you will deliver high standards of personal care and work as part of the care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.

Key responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene, maintaining residents’ independence, dignity and respect, recognising clinical risk areas (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections) and escalating any identified risks promptly, acting courteously towards residents and visitors, and practising safe systems of work.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of personal care and support residents’ independence.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene and routine care.
  • Recognise and manage clinical risk factors such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls and signs of infection.
  • Escalate identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Act courteously and respect the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practice safe systems of work across all tasks.

About You

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Initiative, respectfulness and adaptability.
