We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality activities at our manufacturing facility.
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment and enjoys leading teams, driving continuous improvement, and working closely with customers and senior leadership.
As a key member of the Plant Management Team, you’ll take ownership of our Quality Engineering function, ensuring the highest standards of product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Duties
- Leading and developing the Quality Engineering team, creating a high-performing, engaged function.
- Working as part of the Plant Management Team to ensure customer requirements and quality standards are embedded throughout the business.
- Monitoring quality performance, customer scorecards and KPI trends, driving robust corrective actions where needed.
- Championing continuous improvement of our Quality Management System (QMS).
- Leading the implementation and ongoing development of APQP, PPAP and product revalidation activities.
- Driving structured problem-solving, including 8D investigations and Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA).
- Leading customer audits, site visits and external quality assessments with confidence.
- Supporting internal audit programmes, Layered Process Audits (LPA) and Control Plan compliance.
- Promoting a proactive quality culture through QRQC, Stop Work, No Fault Forward and Stop-Call-Wait initiatives.
- Leading Zero Defects meetings, Quality Walks (Gemba), and cross-functional quality reviews.
- Developing capability across the business by promoting APQP, and PFMEA methodologies.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing your team through regular performance reviews, skills development and succession planning.
- Deputising for the Head of Quality whenever required
Requirements
- Degree (BSc OR Equivalent) in Engineering or Scientific related discipline
- AS9100 Lead Auditor qualification however training can be provided if required
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP’s and PFMEA
- Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering leadership role within manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and quality assurance principles.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Confident leading customer audits and managing customer relationships.
- Leads by example and inspires others.
- Thrives under pressure and makes sound, commercially balanced decisions.
