Job Title: KS2 Learning Support Assistant – Fixed Term

E-ACT Greenfield Academy

Pay range: SCP5-7 – £19,764.35 – £20,397.85 – FTE £25,583.00 – £26,403.00 – 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year – fixed term – 31.08.2027

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils in Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) to access learning and achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with class teachers to deliver high-quality support within the classroom.
  • Provide targeted intervention support to individuals and small groups in literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Good literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.
  • Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably within KS2.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and commitment to supporting all learners.
