Overview
Clinical / Counselling Psychologist – Mindplace Dartford (Face to Face). Location: Crossways Business Park, Dartford, DA2 6QH. Permanent role with competitive salary and benefits. Part-time and full-time hours available. Centre opening hours: Monday to Saturday 8:00–22:00. Session requirements: sessions available Monday to Sunday with early (08:00–16:00) and late (14:00–22:00) shifts; at least one late shift required. Each day includes 5 appointments.
Role
As a Clinical Counselling Psychologist within Bupa Health Services, you’ll use your training to support customers by providing education on living longer, healthier, happier lives. You’ll spend the majority of your time with customers doing what you do best.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes.
- Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations for evidence-based intervention.
- Offer different models of service delivery: face-to-face, telephone, or video consultations.
- Adhere to Bupa’s case management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and therapy team.
- Work within sessional limits based on the client’s Private Medical Insurance allowance.
- Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
- Offer ad-hoc wellbeing support and coaching.
- Conduct one-off assessments and referral recommendations.
- Provide group psychoeducation and mental health awareness through remote presentations, workshops, and training.
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa’s service policies.
- Attend regular clinical supervision and monthly team meetings.
- Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experiences.
Key Skills / Qualifications
- Essential: Professional Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society.
- Essential: Health and Care Professions Council registration as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
- Essential: General adult mental health experience.
- Essential: At least 1 year’s post-qualification clinical experience.
- Desirable: Training and accreditation in specialized areas of psychological relevance.
- Desirable: Corporate experience.
- Desirable: Excellent leadership and management skills.

- General adult mental health specialism experience.
- Corporate experience and business understanding.
- Up-to-date CPD and proficient IT skills including Microsoft systems and electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to evaluate, plan, and prioritise workload within demanding time scales.
- Proven customer service and client liaison experience.
- Strong application of clinical knowledge with excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience managing own caseload and working towards individual targets and outcomes.
- High standards in written and oral communication and diverse clinical experience.
