Overseeing manufacturing and production processes and ensure all aspects of operations are optimized and maximum productivity is achieved at all times
Support all shifts within your department (dayshift and nightshift) and ensure all 7 production days are adequately covered
Creating and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production resourcing schedules
Ensuring factory production equipment is in good working order and monitored on a daily basis
Striving to reduce inefficiencies and increase productivity across all product lines
Maintaining hygienic conditions for both employees and the factory itself
Implementing all the companys procedures and policies
Communicating any problems or obstacles to senior management
Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control
Monitor and record breakdowns and downtime per line
Training and coaching Factory Operators to enhance and increase performance and productivity
- Maintaining accurate and adequate records as appropriate, both manual and / or computerized, collating data, preparing reports and presenting information as appropriate.
- Encourage and promote a sense of working together as one shift one team ( dayshift & nightshift ) supporting each others teams when necessary
Establish, manage and lead production teams to create products in line with the companys environment, health and safety standards while complying with all external regulations
Devise, drive, communicate and measure appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) for the area of responsibility
- Be vigilant in observing that all company guidelines i.e. health and safety, personnel management (e.g. Time Keeping, attendance, disciplinary matters, cost etc.), quality issues, food hygiene standards are being professionally and routinely carried out as normal practice
- Making decisions on corrective actions, non-conforming product, process deviations, finished product release, document control & customer complaints
- Conferring with others to co-ordinate operations and activities within departments or between departments
- Immediately reporting any accidents or incidents, which may occur, to the person responsible for Health and Safety, or H.R., assisting with associated investigations and seeing that all accidents or incidents are recorded in the accident book and any team member requiring First Aid treatment is directed to a First Aider
