Permanent Children’s Social Workers – Safeguarding & Child Protection | Oldham | Grade 7 & 8 | Up to £44,428 based on experience | £2,000 Retention Payment

The Role
- Manage a varied caseload, undertaking assessments, developing and reviewing Care & Support Plans, and delivering meaningful interventions that improve outcomes for children, young people, and families.
- Assess need and risk, including complex and crisis situations.
- Develop, deliver, and review effective care plans.
- Prepare reports and represent the local authority in court and multi‑agency forums.
- Build strong partnerships with health, education, and voluntary agencies.
- Champion safeguarding practice and promote positive change.
- Receive quality supervision, protected development time, and access to a comprehensive CPD programme designed to support clear progression pathways.
About You
Qualified Social Worker with at least two years of post‑qualification experience. Safeguarding/CP experience is ideal, but we welcome applicants with relevant backgrounds such as Assessment & Intervention. You should be passionate about improving life chances, confident in managing risk, and committed to continuous professional development.

Salary:Grade 7: £36,648 – £40,221Grade 8 (experienced SW): £40,221 – £44,428
