Quality Control Technician – Bristol
Location: Bristol / Avonmouth | Contract: Full-time | Department: Concrete Technical
Purpose of the Role
Carry out sampling and on‑site testing of asphalt, aggregates, concrete, and associated construction materials in line with European Standards and in full compliance with UKAS regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
- Always comply with the company Health & Safety Policy and all relevant legislation.
- Follow all Safe Working Procedures as issued and updated.
- Actively promote and contribute to a positive health & safety culture across the laboratory.
Quality
- Carry out site testing in accordance with approved procedures and local work instructions.
- Suspend testing and report immediately to the Senior Laboratory Technician when deviations or issues are identified.
- Support continuous improvement in product accuracy, process efficiency, and overall service quality.
Production
- Conduct testing efficiently to ensure results are delivered within agreed business timescales.
- Maintain a well‑organised and productive working environment.
Customer Service
- Build excellent working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Assist the Senior Technician with resolving customer queries promptly and professionally.

- Previous laboratory or construction materials testing experience is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
