Lifeguard

Overview

You will be providing customer care to people of all ages, supervising activities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the pool area, and ensuring the safe handling and setup of pool equipment. As a lifeguard, you will also assist with safety and, when needed, help to save lives. You should have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable interacting with customers in a leisure or other customer-facing environment. You must be safety-conscious, vigilant, and able to deal with pressurised situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer care to people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Supervise activities and maintain safety in the pool area.
• Ensure the pool area is clean and well-maintained and that pool equipment is set up and used safely.
• Act as a lifeguard, respond to emergencies, and implement safety procedures as required.

Qualifications

• Strong swimming skills and the essential National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills with experience in a leisure or other customer-facing environment.
• Safety-conscious, vigilant, and able to manage pressurised situations.
