An established and highly respected distributor within the construction industry is looking to recruit an experienced Internal Sales Representative to join its growing team in Barking.
The company supplies a wide range of specialist products across insulation, drylining, HVAC, technical insulation, roofing, fire protection, building envelopes, off‑site construction, and modular building sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional to develop their career within a supportive and expanding business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in generating revenue, developing customer relationships, winning new business, and providing expert product support to customers within the insulation and drylining markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and convert new sales opportunities to drive business growth.
- Generate leads and proactively engage with prospective customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing client accounts.
- Prepare accurate quotations and provide product recommendations and advice.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company’s products and services.
- Stay informed of industry developments, market trends, and new product innovations.
- Work towards achieving and exceeding individual and team sales targets.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and forecasts within the CRM system.
- Offer credit facilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Produce regular sales reports and revenue forecasts for management.
- Deliver a high level of customer service and support throughout the sales process.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in an Internal Sales position.
- Experience within the construction industry would be highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of insulation, drylining, or building materials products is preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Commercially minded, target‑driven, and proactive in approach.
- Competent using CRM systems and Microsoft Office 365.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to analyse sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary & Benefits
