Overview

As Cost Controller you will be the strategic backbone of our project delivery, ensuring cost control best practices and providing deep‑dive analysis and precise allocations that our project management and commercial teams rely on.

Responsibilities

  • Project lifecycle support – manage projects within P6 and IMS, create and baseline new schedules, handle change requests, and report key metrics such as SPI and CPI.
  • Facilitate contractor and stakeholder collaboration – act as primary point of contact, attend progress meetings, review programs against NEC contracts, and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Health, safety and compliance – participate in H&S initiatives and conduct on‑site safety observations to identify and report hazards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • P6 Primavera formal training to a professional level.
  • Proficiency in preparing and presenting detailed financial reports and analyses.
  • Strong organisational and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, earned value, and VOWD.
  • Experience as a project controller in the construction industry using P6.
  • Expertise in planning and scheduling, change management, and NEC contract compliance.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Relevant construction experience on major multi‑disciplinary infrastructure projects.

Compensation

£42,000 – £49,000p.a., dependent on experience.
