Regional Manager

Company: Access Self Storage
Apply for the Regional Manager
Location: London
Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced, commercially driven Regional Manager to lead a portfolio of self-storage sites.

This is a hands‑on, field‑based leadership role for someone who thrives on variety — one day reviewing regional P&L and pricing strategy, the next coaching a Store Manager on‑site or walking a facility to check standards. You’ll report directly to the General Manager of Operations and play a key part in shaping the region’s growth plans.

Role Description

As a Regional Manager at Access Self Storage, you will oversee the performance and operations of multiple stores within the London Area, United Kingdom. This full‑time, on‑site role involves leading and coaching store managers, ensuring high standards of customer service, and driving occupancy and revenue targets across your region. You will monitor financial performance, analyse KPIs, and implement initiatives to improve sales, cost control, and overall profitability. Daily responsibilities include visiting sites, supporting teams with complex customer issues, maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards, and ensuring facilities are well‑presented and secure. You will collaborate with senior leadership on regional strategies, prepare and present the region’s P&L to Ownership on a monthly basis, contribute to marketing and community engagement activities, and foster a culture of accountability, development, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated solid working experience in multi‑site retail or service operations management, ideally within storage, property, or related sectors.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
  • Solid commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financial reports, manage budgets, and drive sales and profitability.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK retail or storage market.
  • Excellent customer service orientation, with a track record of maintaining high service standards and resolving complex customer issues.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, including planning regional visits and prioritizing multiple operational demands.
  • Experience implementing operational processes, health and safety standards, and compliance with company policies.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and management systems; comfort analysing KPIs and using data to inform decisions.
  • Ability to work on‑site across the London Area, with flexibility to travel between locations as required.
  • Relevant education in business, management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

We are an equal opportunities employer and value diversity in our workforce. We welcome applications from all qualified individuals and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. If you require reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know.
