Job Description:

Salary: £40,000 – 60,000 per year

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of software development experience, or we welcome a strong recent graduate
  • Working proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; React experience is a plus
  • Comfortable with SQL, JSON, and REST APIs
  • A background in software or computer science, or in automation/engineering with solid hands‑on coding skills
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience is desirable, ideally with exposure to OPC UA, MQTT, or Modbus
  • Experience with time‑series data and connectivity, including drivers and middleware such as KEPServerEX is desirable
  • Experience building dashboards or data visualisations is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Build end‑user applications in React on our Industrial Data‑Ops platform
  • Build and maintain data pipelines in Python and SQL, ingesting, transforming, and contextualising industrial data
  • Help design, build, and maintain the industrial knowledge graph that our applications run on
  • Support wider IIoT project delivery, including data ingestion, technical documentation, custom driver development, and hardware testing
  • Work hands‑on with industrial data from plant‑floor and OT systems
  • Support colleagues delivering projects on customer sites, including remote assistance with data connectivity, drivers, and troubleshooting
  • Contribute directly to production applications from an early stage, working alongside senior engineers
