Electrical Engineer

Hampstead, North London£45,000 + BenefitsMonday – Friday | 08:00 – 17:00

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading UK Facilities Management provider supporting a prestigious critical healthcare contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regulated environment, maintaining critical electrical infrastructure that keeps essential services running safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems across the site.
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs safely and efficiently.
  • Maintaining lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting and associated electrical systems.
  • Supporting statutory inspections, testing and certification requirements.
  • Responding to emergency breakdowns and prioritising critical systems.
  • Updating maintenance records using the CAFM system.
  • Working closely with engineers, contractors and the Estates team.
  • Following all Health & Safety procedures while working within a live critical environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (17th Edition considered).
  • Experience within Facilities Management, Building Services or a similar maintenance environment.
  • Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Good understanding of statutory compliance and safe working practices.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within healthcare or other critical environments.
  • Experience working on critical building services infrastructure.
  • Experience using CAFM or maintenance management systems.
