Overview

A long‑standing client of Ascent People is recruiting a Team Leader – Web Development to join their company. With a development team of 100+ in the UK, the role focuses on cutting‑edge technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AngularJS/React and Node.js. You will influence future web development practices and technology choices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a web development team and drive adoption of modern WEB technologies.
• Bridge the gap between UX and UI teams and ensure design specifications are met.
• Architect, implement, and maintain complex web applications in Angular/React.
• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with backend teams on RESTful Web Services and other integrations.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in front‑end web development.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, React, jQuery, Node.js).
• Expert understanding of HTML5, CSS/CSS3 and responsive design.
• Experience with RESTful Web Services and API integration.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
