South West/ temporary / £140 – 168 per day

Overview

Supply teaching can be an excellent route for newly qualified teachers who want to strengthen their CV, experience different school settings and discover the type of environment that suits them best before committing to a permanent role. Flexible day‑to‑day work, short‑term cover or longer‑term opportunities are available across a range of primary schools in Bristol and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons to primary pupils of mixed abilities.
  • Support pupils, promote positive behaviour and help children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
  • Adapt lessons to meet a range of learning needs.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be due to complete QTS this summer.
  • A PGCE or equivalent teacher training qualification.
  • A genuine passion for primary education.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A positive, caring and flexible approach.
  • Willingness to learn, reflect and develop as a teacher.
