Job Title: Children’s Home Manager – Albion Street

Location: Spalding, Lincolnshire

Overview

As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, development, and day‑to‑day operation of the home, ensuring children receive the highest standards of care, support, and safeguarding while achieving positive outcomes. Working closely with senior leaders, partner agencies, families, and carers, you will create a high‑performing home where children achieve exceptional outcomes and staff are empowered to excel. You will lead and develop a committed staff team while ensuring the home operates in line with regulatory requirements, local authority policies, and best practice standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the children’s home.
  • Develop and implement plans to secure high quality care and safeguarding for residents.
  • Lead and support a team of staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, local authority policies, and best practice standards.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies, families, and carers to meet children’s individual needs.
  • Represent the home in relationships with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards).
  • Proven leadership experience within a children’s residential setting in the last 5 years.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures, child protection legislation, and Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Eligibility to register with Ofsted as a Registered Manager and a willingness to work positively with Ofsted to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Good understanding of therapeutic practices and PACE.
