SEN Primary Teacher

Overview

Teaching position at Luxborough Court School, part of the Witherslack Group, located near Chigwell Station, catering to pupils aged 5–19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and social, emotional and mental health needs.
• Develop pupils’ abilities, boost self‑esteem and raise their learning confidence.
• Collaborate with in‑house psychologists, teaching assistants, therapy professionals and other staff to deliver a holistic education.
• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that meet individual learning needs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous primary teaching experience preferred.
• Resilient, dedicated and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Background or understanding of special educational needs is an advantage.
