Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site Electrical Engineer role based in Middleton. The Electrical Engineer will develop and maintain electrical systems and equipment used in manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency. Responsibilities include creating and reviewing electrical schematics, safety circuits, control systems, inverters, plc (different manufacturers) and troubleshooting electrical issues on production lines. The role involves collaborating with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to implement improvements, support new machinery installations, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The Electrical Engineer will also participate in project planning, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise plant performance.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge in Electrical Engineering and electricity principles.
- Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design, including schematics, layouts, and equipment specification.
- Candidates should possess experience with Power Distribution and Power Systems in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Candidates should possess practical experience with electrical safety standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in manufacturing or production facilities, ideally within textiles or similar industries, is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively on‑site with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.
