Tesco Shift Leader – Days – Durrington Esso Express

Friday: 12:00‑23:00; Saturday: 11:30‑23:00.

Pay & Hours

Shift Leader starts from £15.59 per hour, increasing to £16.86 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with a flexible option to work 12–16 hours.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Take ownership of duty shifts, coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customers leave satisfied.
• Identify opportunities to improve service, coach colleagues, and give feedback.
• Support colleagues, maintain a safe working environment and comply with health and safety routines.
• Monitor store performance, assist managers with actions to improve store operation.
• Lead by example and set a positive tone for the team.
• Represent the store in the absence of the manager and make day‑to‑day decisions.
• Stay up to date on communications, changes, and updates.

Qualifications

Applicant must be 18 or over.

Experience with retail operations or customer service preferred.
