Remote Senior Java Developer

Salary: £69,000 – 109,000 per year

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing multi-threaded server‑side applications using Java
• 3+ years of experience as a design authority for complex software solutions
• Strong understanding of MVC frameworks such as Struts and JSF, and web application development
• Experience with databases, SQL, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Agile methodologies

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key technical areas and ensure best practices in design and development
• Lead architectural decisions and guide team members on best practices
• Build and optimize multi-threaded server‑side applications in Java
• Participate in stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and backlog planning
• Work with product teams to refine requirements and ensure seamless functionality
• Write and maintain test scenarios, troubleshoot defects, and produce technical documentation
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle from design and coding to testing and deployment
