Compliance Caretaker

Blackwall Reach, London

£29,912 – £31,486 per year

40 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a Compliance Caretaker to join our team, based in Blackwall Reach, London. As a Compliance Caretaker you will be testing the fire alarms, emergency lighting tests, and water tests on all our schemes and sites across the London region. Work may include emptying properties, collecting fly tipping, grounds maintenance, hard/soft landscaping, voids clearances, fencing and any other related works. The role is lone working, and the candidate will need to be self-motivated and good with spread sheets and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out risk assessments to identify and report any potential maintenance issues to ensure a safe environment is maintained and to support planned maintenance programmes
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and used in line with policies and procedures and relevant regulations, reporting faults, hazards and inappropriate practice promptly, to ensure a safe living and working environment
  • Provide accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed to meet organisational standards

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
  • Experience of using a PDA or similar device to record data
  • Maintain accurate compliance logs and records
  • Ensure documentation is up to date for audits or inspections
  • Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
  • Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • This role will involve driving on company business. To drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full manual valid UK driving licence
