Role Summary

This leading Leicester-based technology company seeks an experienced Infrastructure Manager to lead its growing infrastructure team, manage budgets, and ensure reliable IT infrastructure as the company expands.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of support specialists and engineers.
• Oversee and maintain virtual and physical servers, database systems and overall infrastructure.
• Manage the IT infrastructure budget, making key decisions in collaboration with the Head of IT.
• Coordinate with 3rd‑party suppliers and vendors.
• Ensure infrastructure availability, performance and security.

Required Technical Skills and Experience

• Commercial experience as Infrastructure Manager or IT Manager.
• Proficiency in Windows environments.
• Experience with VMWare and virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of virtual and physical server management.
• Expertise in SQL Server and database administration.
• Strong team‑management skills (well‑being, hiring, training).

Desirable

• Experience with IAAS, PAAS or SAAS.
• Windows migration projects.
