Salary: £28,000 – £33,000 per annum + Pension, 25 days holiday

Job Overview

Technical Author / Technical Writer position with a global software client based in the East Midlands. Requires a degree (or equivalent) and experience in a regulated software environment. Candidates should be able to work with complex global software and have an understanding of Adobe Framemaker and/or image editing software.

Responsibilities

• Architect, write and maintain complex technical documentation
• Collaborate with software development & product teams to translate information into user‑friendly guides
• Follow corporate guidelines, procedures and SOPs
• Produce software training material
• Participate in testing activities as required

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification
• Experience as a Technical Writer or Technical Author in a software environment
• Experience with testing and/or training in software context
• Knowledge of Adobe Framemaker and/or image editing software
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving skills; self‑driven, determined

Benefits

Up to £32,000 salary, 25 days holiday, pension, flexible working arrangements. Commutable via public transport from Stoke on Trent, Derby, Tamworth, and Stafford.
