Role Description

The Volunteer Grant Application Writer internship is a remote role focused on helping NTC secure funding to support programs for vulnerable children. The volunteer will research potential grant opportunities, review eligibility criteria, and maintain a calendar of deadlines. Day‑to‑day tasks include drafting and editing grant proposals, tailoring applications to funder requirements, and compiling supporting documentation. The role also involves collaborating with team members to gather program data, track submitted applications, and assist with follow‑up reports to funders. This internship offers practical experience in nonprofit grant writing and fundraising while contributing directly to NTC’s mission.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Grant Writing and Proposal Writing to create clear, compelling, and well‑structured applications.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Prospect Research and Grant Administration to identify funding opportunities and manage application requirements and timelines.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Fundraising to understand donor engagement and support broader resource development efforts.
  • Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Interest in child welfare, international development, or nonprofit work, with a commitment to NTC’s mission.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate respectfully with diverse team members.
  • Relevant coursework or experience in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Policy, or a related field is beneficial.
  • This is an unpaid volunteer position supporting the charity by donating your time.
