Overview

We seek to recruit enthusiastic and motivated individuals as Support Workers within our community residential services for adults with a learning disability across Forth Valley, providing a range of supported living services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an integral member of a team providing person‑centred care and support to the highest possible standards.
  • Understand and demonstrate an ethos of dignity and respect, supporting service users to live independently in their own homes and to realise their ambitions.
  • Participate in a Keyworker system and support service users in all aspects of daily living and lifestyle activities.
  • Work flexibly, including shift work, weekends and sleep‑over duties, with additional allowances paid for such hours.
  • Attend staff meetings, in‑house training and, when required, extra hours to meet individual support needs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Desirable: SVQ Level 2 / 3 Health & Social Care, or evidence of relevant training such as values‑based training.
  • Required: SVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care – the minimum requirement of the Scottish Social Services Council.
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council is required.
  • Ability to work effectively either as part of a small team or independently in an unsupervised capacity.

Working Conditions

  • Positions are available across Falkirk, Stirling & Dunblane.
  • Shift work, weekend and sleep‑over duties with appropriate allowance.
  • Additional hours may be required on occasion; additional hours are available if requested.

Benefits and Arrangements

  • Agenda for Change: full‑time weekly hours will shift from 37 to 36 hours, with a corresponding increase in hourly rate to keep pay unchanged.
  • Participation of service users in interview and selection procedures, if they wish.

Additional Requirements

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
