Mobile Kitchen Manager – South West Norse
Covering Plymouth and Ivybridge areas.
£30,768.63 pro rata (based on a 40‑hour working week) – Equates to £14.79 per hour.
20 hours per week, 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday, between 9:30am‑2:30pm, term time only.
South West Norse has an opportunity for a Mobile Kitchen Manager to join our team and support our sites across the Plymouth and Ivybridge region on a part‑time, permanent basis.
You will use your skills and experience to deliver an exciting and varied menu that utilises locally sourced and healthy ingredients, delivering an excellent level of customer service for the school. You will be responsible for managing the catering department for children within the school. This role includes provision of modified diets, catering for allergies and sensory needs, etc.
Providing input into menu planning and costing, you will help us deliver a catering service that provides a nutritional lunchtime meal, leading and directing a small on‑site team to ensure preparation is delivered on time and to high quality standards.
Your Experience
- Experience leading a busy kitchen environment, capable of organising catering staff as well as being hands‑on with meal preparation and cooking.
- Knowledge of menu development and costing, with a focus on promoting healthy and nutritious meals.
- A relevant qualification in Food Hygiene, with experience applying your knowledge within a catering environment.
- Full Driving Licence is an essential requirement for this mobile role.
