About the Role
Senior Network Engineer / Network Security Engineer responsible for ensuring the stable operation across all components of the network and Linux infrastructure, including installation, configuration, support, maintenance, and optimisation of hardware, operating systems, and software in both on‑premise and cloud environments. The role spans BAU and project work, with a focus on strategy, design, planning, development, testing, and optimisation of infrastructure components.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimise network and Linux infrastructure across on‑premise and cloud environments.
- Install, configure, support, maintain, and optimise hardware, operating systems, and software.
- Contribute to strategy, design, planning, development, testing, and optimisation of infrastructure components.
- Support BAU operations and participate in evolving project work.
- Use Dell, Cisco, Juniper, or other equipment as required.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, security, and patch management.
- Assist with major changes within the IT function.
Qualifications
- Strong technical aptitude in networking, Linux, storage, and security.
- Experience with Dell, Cisco, Juniper, or other networking gear.
- Knowledge of Dell Networking, SonicWall, Aerohive, and virtualization environments.
- Competency in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and patch management.
- Certifications: CCNA/CCNP, DECS/DECE, JNCP, or equivalent.
- Ability to evaluate emerging technologies for production use.
- Effectiveness in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment and a team player.
