Unity Developer

Salary: £40,000 – 40,000 per year

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience working as a Unity Developer
• Strong knowledge of Unity 3D and C# development
• Experience with game mechanics, scripting, and physics
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming principles
• Experience with optimization of game performance and memory usage
• Experience with version control software such as PlasticSCM and GitHub
• Good knowledge of mathematics and algorithms relevant to game development
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with a diverse team
• Desired but non-essential: mastery of C# and Python
• Desired but non-essential: technical animation skills, including rigging, skinning, and scripting
• Desired but non-essential: experience with Jira, PlasticSCM, and GitHub

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, artists, and other developers to create mechanics, levels, and systems
• Create and maintain Unity components, scripts, and plugins that support development
• Translate design requirements into technical design specifications
• Write clean, efficient, and reliable C# code for systems and mechanics
• Optimize code and other assets for performance and memory usage
• Work with quality assurance teams to ensure the product is bug‑free and meets quality standards
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and tools in Unity development and programming
